Itinerary
This fascinating adventure on wheels starts at 7:00 a.m. when we pick you up from your hotel to travel for 1 hour towards the area of San Jose, inside Chinchero town. At this place we will meet our tour guide to get the necessary indications to avoid delays or accidents.
Then, we will begin the adventure through dirt road for 20 minutes until we reach the viewpoint of the Huaypo lake. This lake of crystalline water is a perfect place to appreciate the migrant birds that arrive from different regions of Cusco. Also, we could see the local people who usually fish in this place.
Furthermore, you will have free time to rest and take the best pictures of Huaypo Lake, as well as get the explanation of our tour guide.
Afterwards, we will keep riding ATVs towards Mahuaypampa viewpoint. A strategic place in the plateau of Chinchero from where you can see the Chicón, Pumahuanca and Veronica (Waqaywilka) snow-capped mountains.
Then, we will ride quad bikes through a road with steep sections, slopes, sharp turns and lots of adrenaline until we reach the natural Maras salt ponds.
